Artist's Comments
Mountaineers descending from l'Aguille du Midi near Chamonix, presumably to approach/climb the Alpine peaks near Mont Blanc from a different angle. These folks are standing on a narrow sliver of snow and mountain; should any of them had slipped, it would've had disastrous (and probably fatal) consequences. It's probably a good thing that these guys look like pros.
